The Retrain team is currently three directors and a couple of volunteers.
We have two church partners and one business partner – Forge and Equip.
Meet Our Team
Andy Constable
Director
Rev Andrew Constable has been living and working in Niddrie, a scheme in Edinbugh since 2009. He invests greatly in the life of the community and has particular experience working with people with addiction and trauma.
Marc Surtees
Director
Marc Surtees was an elder at Niddrie Community Church for more than 10 years and was a shopkeeper in Leith Walk Edinburgh for 13 years. He wants do what he can to provide meaningful employment opportunities to people from the schemes of Scotland so that they can use their talents to the full and make a difference in their communities.
Myles Ewen
Director
Myles is one of the directors of Retrain.
Rachel Meldrum
Manager - Heavenly Treats
Rachel, a member of Niddrie Community Church, is working with Retrain Scotland because she wants to help people (with a focus on women) to find meaningful employment.
Rachel is managing Heavenly Treats.
Linsey
Admin Manager
Linsey, worked as our admin manager for just over one year during which time she ensured that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. From managing schedules to streamlining processes, Linsey kept everything on track. She's has now moved on to work for our partner - Forge and Equip.
Daniel
Job Title Here
Daniel was our workshop manager come employee co-ordinator for about one year. He is a true multi-tasker; an artist, crafting and shaping metal with precision and skill. Daniel brings innovation, creativity and attention to detail to every project, turning raw materials into remarkable finished products. He also ensures that everyone is working in harmony and that every task is completed efficiently. He is a guiding light, sharing knowledge and experience with new employees and trainees, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.
Daniel has now moved on to work for our partner - Forge and Equip.
